The specific issues motivating my run for Josephine County Commissioner are the recent instability in county leadership – including recalls, resignations, and controversies – that have eroded public trust and diverted focus from core needs like reliable public safety, budget pressures, and rural economic challenges.
If elected, my top three priorities would be:
Strengthening Public Safety – ensure strong funding and support for the Sheriff's office, District Attorney, jail, and emergency services while addressing homelessness, mental health and addiction through practical, coordinated solutions to ease community burdens.
Responsible Budgeting and Economic Growth – prioritize transparent, balanced budgets that protect essential services without unnecessary tax hikes; promote job creation, business support, and infrastructure like roads/bridges for long-term stability.
Restoring Trust and Transparency — Commit to open communication, citizen input, and accountable governance to rebuild confidence and focus on results for all residents.
I have started two successful businesses in Josephine County. Good governance requires a vision and steady, bold leadership that puts Josephine County's people first.
